Many times people have told me “My mind is always in a rush!” or “I accumulate energy and don’t know how to release it” or “I am too sensitive, I feel others’ problems as if they were mine, so I rapidly get to feel tired and empty”.
These and similar sentences are the expression of a distress. When they end with “What can I do?”, they become a request for help.

Rely on the Earth.

If your mind rushes and you can’t be present to yourself, enter your body, enter the realm of matter, and ask Earth for support.
She brings us back to the present moment.

If you accumulate too much energy, release it into the Earth.
If you are sensitive/empathetic, connect with the Earth.
She takes what we no longer need, She transforms it and gives us new energy.


Here are three grounding techniques I use (and you can use them too) to connect with the Earth:

1. Barefoot on the Earth
Find a place where you can feel the Earth with your groundingbare feet: a park, a beach, …
You are standing, knees are soft, back is long, shoulders relaxed, face muscles released.
Close your eyes and bring the attention to your natural and spontaneous breath. Do not control it, just observe.
After a few moments, bring the attention to your feet, which are your point of contact with the Earth.
Inhaling visualize/imagine golden energy rising from the Earth and entering your body through the feet. The body is filled with this energy.
Exhaling visualize/imagine that what you no longer need (thoughts, emotions, pain, tension…) leaves your body and enters the Earth.

Keep going until you feel that something within you has changed.
Repeat the exercise anytime you need it.

2. I connect with the energy of the Mothergrounding
Find a comfortable seat on the ground, preferably in a natural space, and lengthen your spine. Place your hands on the knees, palms facing down, and close your eyes.
Bring the attention to the parts of your body that are in contact with the Earth (feet, glutes, maybe the legs) and visualize/imagine that roots grow from those parts of yours and descend deep down, until they reach the Earth centre. Visualize/imagine the centre as big sphere made of red energy; this energy rises from there, through your roots, and reaches your body and fills it, giving it new energy. Then that energy goes back to the Earth centre, in an uninterrupted rise-and-fall cycle.

Keep going until you feel a sense of calm.
Repeat anytime you need it.

3. I breathe through my feet

groundingStand, preferably in a place where you can feel the Earth with your bare feet, knees are soft, back is long, shoulders relaxed, face muscles released. Close your eyes.
For a few moments observe your natural and spontaneous breath. Inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth.
Now visualize/imagine a ball of light just above your head. This ball enters your body through the top of the head and slowly descends touching every part of the body. Then it leaves the body through the soles of your feet and it enters the Earth, stopping when it is 30cm below the feet.
Now bring your left arm up and invite your higher Self to enter. While you slowly lower the arm, visualize/imagine your higher Self entering the body and descending through the body and into the Earth, joining the ball of light, at last.
Your whole attention is in that space 30cm below your feet.
Visualize/imagine that you have a nose underneath each foot and that you can breathe through them. Now, breathe.
After a few moments, slowly open up the eyes.

Repeat anytime you need it.


Practise these grounding techniques and you will see positive results.
